I absolutely LOVE how you did the blue lighting Do you have a method to do that? Because every time I try and do any kind of coloured lighting it just comes out alien-like. Or do you just closely follow the reference?
Thank you! I usually follow the reference...I started off with the lighter & brighter blues (usually watercolor markers). Then, I went back over it with light powdery blues (like skyblue/cerulean/cloud blue alcohol based markers). After that I put in the more saturated & dark blues (alcohol). For blending, I either use a blender marker, or I go back to using a skyblue marker again. I used some light cool grays for shadows. Once I've laid out all my blues and grays, I go back with some white ink or white pastels for highlights For touch-ups, a little extra consistency or flare, I like to use colored pencils (prismacolor) here and there. Watercolor markers can be handy too. Thanks again!!!
Gosh, I had no idea so much work and mediums went into your art, I guess it just makes me appreciate it even more ^^ I had never even heard of water colour markers before actually, but I really like the end result.
